Slow Cooked Ribs
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound ribs
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/3 slice onion, sliced
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons dry red wine (or Beef Broth)
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons chili sauce
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon water
1. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons flour, salt, and pepper. Coat the short ribs with the flour mixture.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown short ribs in olive oil.
3. In a slow cooker, combine onions, wine, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and chili powder. Mix thoroughly. Transfer the short ribs from the skillet to the slow cooker.
4. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
Remove ribs, and turn the slow cooker control to High. Mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of flour with 1/4 cup water, and stir into the sauce. Cook for 10 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Brown short ribs in small amount of oil in skillet. Place in crock pot.
Add 1 1/3 cups water,
2 tablespoons B. V. beef broth and sauce concentrate,
1 beef bouillon cube,
2 bay leaves,
1/2 teaspoon pepper.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
At serving time, cook in boiling salt water 1 package wide egg noodles - drain. Remove short ribs from crock pot. Put noodles in crock pot beef sauce. Serve

3/4 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
1-2 lbs. beef short ribs
Mix the soy sauce, sugar and sesame seeds until most of the sugar is dissolved. Pour the sauce over the ribs and soak for at least 1/2 hour on each side. (Can be marinated overnight.) Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour on each side or until done. (Ribs can be barbecued.)
