GREEN BEANS WITH HAMBURGER/TURKEY

1 lb. ground turkey
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. dark molasses
1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen, cut green beans, broken apart
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cold water
3 to 4 c. hot cooked rice
French fried onion rings

Cook and stir ground beef and onion in large skillet until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in garlic, 1 1/2 cups water, the soy sauce, and molasses; heat to boiling. Add green beans and heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.
Blend cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water; stir gradually into meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over rice; garnish with onion rings. If desired, pass additional soy sauce. 4 servings.

˝  lb. ground beef OR TURKEY
1  med. onion, finely chopped
˝  sm. bell pepper, finely chopped
1  c. ketchup
˝  tsp. vinegar
1/8  c. brown sugar
1  tsp. prepared mustard
1 (15 oz.) can
pork and beans
˝  tsp. salt
˝ tsp. pepper

Brown ground beef, onions and pepper in a 10 inch skillet. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture is bubbly.

1 lb. ground beef OR TURKEY
1 env. onion soup mix
1 lb. can
pork & beans
1 lb. can kidney beans, drained
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. mustard
1/4 c. sugar

Cook meat in large skillet. Then drain off excess fat. Put meat into 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, then add all of the other ingredients. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. This can also be fixed in a crock pot. Cook meat in large skillet. Drain off excess fat. Put meat and all of the other ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low for 1 1/2-2 hours.



Simple Salisbury Steak

4 lean hamburger patties
1 (10.75 oz) can reduced fat, reduced sodium cream of
mushroom soup
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

Brown hamburger steaks in a large skillet, and drain the fat. In a bowl, combine milk, salt, soup, and mushrooms. Pour over steaks. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until meat reaches 160 degrees.


HO-BO'S

4 hamburger patties
1 pkg. frozen California Veggies
1 can mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
1 sliced onion
1 potato (partially precooked)

Place each hamburger on a square of aluminum foil. On each hamburger place a slice of potato, a slice of onion, 3 tablespoons of frozen vegetables and 3 tablespoons of soup. Bring ends of aluminum foil together and twist in ho-bo style. Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes. Place Ho-Bo's on cookie sheet when baking.



LAZY JOE

1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
4
hamburger patties, seasoned as desired
1 lg. potato, thinly sliced
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1 white onion, thinly sliced
1 c. frozen green peas
1 c. canned corn
1 med. tomato, sliced
1/2 green pepper, sliced

Line cookie sheet with 4 pieces of oil in pouch form. Place 1 seasoned hamburger in each foil pouch. Layer each with cream of mushroom soup and remaining ingredients. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Serve as a meal with salad.


GROUND TURKEY CASSEROLE (Printed from COOKS.COM)

1 lb. ground turkey
1 can tomatoes or tomato sauce
3 c. cooked macaroni
12 oz. shredded cheese
Salt & pepper to season
Approx. tbsp. chili powder

Cook macaroni as usual, drain and set aside. Brown the meat and stir in the tomatoes and seasoning to taste, stir in macaroni and simmer a few minutes, put in a 2 quart casserole dish adding about three fourths of the cheese and mix, bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes then take out of oven and add the last of the cheese on top and return to oven for about 5 minutes. Serve hot or cooled it is a very tasty dish.


GROUND TURKEY & STUFFING ROLL-UP (Printed from COOKS.COM)

1 - 1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
Mushroom and Onion Stove Top Stuffing
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 cup water

Roll turkey out on wax paper in a rectangle shape, 8 x 12 inches. Prepare stuffing. Place on top of turkey, an inch from the end. Flatten down. Roll the meat and stuffing up like a jelly roll, using the wax paper to keep it together. Pull waxed paper off as you are rolling. Pinch the ends to seal it then pat together. Place in pan and bake for 1 hour at 350°F.
Make the sauce with soup and water. Pour sauce over during the last 15 minutes.


GROUND TURKEY AND VEGETABLES

1 lb. ground turkey
1  bag  16 oz California Veggie Mix (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
1/2 bell pepper, chopped coarsely
1 cooking spoon (not quite full) of olive oil or vegetable oil
2 chopped basil leaves or sprinkle of dry basil to taste
˝  lg. onion, chopped coarsely
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. water (you may want more)
1 bay leaf (lg. green)

A generous sprinkle of garlic powder and Italian seasoning or seasoning of your choice
Saute onion and turkey in oil and about half the water on low heat until the turkey starts to brown (just a few minutes). Then add rest of ingredients, mixing well to distribute tomato sauce evenly. Cover and simmer on low heat 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Tips: Sometimes I skip the sauté and put all ingredients in the pan at once. Can be made ahead and frozen.) Serves 4-6 depending on appetites

1 1/2 c. rice
2 cans cream of mushroom or celery soup
1/2 bag
frozen beans
1 med. squash, sliced zucchini or long neck yellow.
1 can Durkee onions, Mozzarella (opt.)

Spray casserole dish with Pam. Mix all ingredients raw together, except for onions (Put on top). Also cheese if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Let set 10 minutes before serving. Serves 2 to 4.

12 oz. cooked ground turkey (1 lb. raw)
4 c. canned tomatoes, finely chopped
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces with liquid (optional)
2 packets beef or chicken bouillon
3 oz. elbow macaroni, uncooked
Salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste

Place cooked ground turkey in a nonstick skillet with seasonings. Add tomatoes, green pepper, onion, mushrooms with liquid and bouillon; bring to a boil. Add macaroni (do not stir in) and continue to boil, uncovered, until macaroni absorbs all of the liquid and is tender, about 20 minutes.

1 lb. ground turkey
1/3 to 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs, fine
1/3 c. crumbled saltines
2/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1/2 sm. to medium onion, quartered
2/3 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. poultry seasoning

In blender, blend milk, eggs, onion, and seasonings. Put meat-crumbs in bowl. Pour liquid over and mix. Put in 4 3/4 x 8 3/4 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until done.



MEAT LOAF WITH GROUND TURKEY -Printed from COOKS.COM

1 lb. ground turkey
1 egg
3/4 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 can Campbell's Italian tomato soup

Mix ground turkey, egg and bread crumbs together. Bake at 350 degrees until 3/4 of the way done. Add 1/2 can soup to the top of meat loaf. Spread on. Finish baking. May add green peppers and onions to loaf - optional. Very good, low in fat

1 lb. ground turkey
1 jar (16 oz.) mild picante sauce
1 pkg. whole wheat flour tortillas
Shredded Cheddar cheese

Brown turkey; drain. Add picante sauce. Warm tortillas in oven at 275 degrees for 10-15 minutes or according to directions on back of package
. Spoon mixture onto warm tortillas and top with cheese. Roll up and eat.

1 lb. ground turkey
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 c. minute rice, prepared (not the kind that came in your Angel Food Box)
1 tsp. soy sauce
Grated Cheddar cheese

Brown turkey. Add next 4 ingredients; mix well. Place in casserole dish and top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.



TURKEY (GROUND) SANDWICHES - Printed from COOKS.COM

2 tbsp. butter
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 lb.
ground turkey
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. bottled barbecue sauce
2 tbsp. chili sauce
4 hamburger rolls

In a medium skillet, melt butter, add onion and green pepper and saute until onion is translucent (do not brown). Mix or crumble in turkey and saute ten minutes. Sprinkle with salt and sugar. Stir in barbecue sauce and chili sauce. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes. Serve on rolls.
